How Bernard raised 30K USD for his start-up - Fame App*
The inspiration
Bernard flew over to Bali, from Australia and noticed there were a tonne of influencers.
He wanted to create a platform which could make it easier for business owners to find the right influencer and place ads.

Research
He partnered with a UX designer (User Experience) who slowed him down….
And pushed him to do user research first.
They identified the main stakeholders:
Influencers (of course)
Hospitality business owners (restaurants, hotel)
They then looked at competitor features and feedback from their customers before making a list of categorised problems to solve.
Wireframing
After arriving at a core problem, that created a product design in the form of a wireframe with Figma
They then put up cameras in a room and had influencers and business owners walk in with no context and observed their usage.
They did this a number of times improving the design each time.
A Winning Pitch Deck
Bernard is a software guy and this didn’t come quickly, but he worked on it.
30 hrs on the pitch deck then 5 hrs for the most important emails sent out to his network (people who he’s previously worked with) .
The result was that he secured 30K USD of funding.
The investor also threw in a couple of resources, desk space for a team and 10hrs a week of a senior marketers time.
